I just review the film of Blake Edwards ' "The Party" that one can translate by the evening. I had already seen this movie on tv in French version. The original version is incomparable. This movie is awesome and full of poetry with Peter Sellers is extraordinary. It should be recommended by all doctors to their patients under stress. To say that there are grumpy, who do not appreciate a moment of pure happiness! (see comments) I decided to switch to the blue ray for this movie and wow grandiose! the walk to the flowers as if we were there :) hello, this is perfect, a good history of the golden age of film noir with the added bonus of the French version, what more to ask. I watched the other dvd available to AMAZON and unfortunately, they are in original and not French version, it is a pity. JPAlways looked at in VO, you can trust the dialogues and the articulation of the actors : a jewel! The game is excellent, the story is fun and wacky. When I think of that - I already have these two films on DVD for many years - I almost let me deter you from buy blu-ray by a few comments on this site! Because these two films are a real miracle : they are coming to recreate wonderfully the universe of Pagnol, his love contagious of Provence and his "beloved hills", its ratings all at once ironic and moving that surprise often by their incongruity, and which are yet so finely observed... The way in which these childhood memories of Marcel Pagnol are transformed into an exciting and moving adventure is quite amazing, with this evocation of the simple pleasures of a time gone.
